Ready, Set, Serve!

I made this a while back when I had a goal to do one act of service every day for a month. I posted it up on my bathroom mirror where I could see it every morning. Every time I did an act of service I would cross it off my calendar. It helped me get out of my shell and focus more of my day on other people. It's a habit I am hoping to get back into!

Positive Thinking Printables

A couple of years back I was in a major slump and couldn't seem to snap myself out of it. I decided I needed to set some goals and focus on the positive in life! I needed to really evaluate what was going on in my life and figure out what really made me happy.

I ended up making lists, setting goals, and really honing in on what brings me joy. As a result I created this binder that to this day I keep in my nightstand as a quick reference in case I am feeling blue, unmotivated, or just need a reminder of what my life is all about!

Setting Goals

Lately I have been struggling to find more motivation and purpose in my day to day life. I decided I needed to set some goals, but where to start? Between being a mom, wife, teacher, and all of my other roles I have, I needed to prioritize.

I know the writing space is small but that was intentional as I didn't want to get overwhelmed with a long list of things I needed or wanted to do. It forced me to pick only one thing in each area of my life that I wanted to work on and so far it's been a great start!

You are Loved Bookmarks

I love to read and am always looking for something (usually an old receipt or junk mail) to hold my place. So I decided to make my own bookmarks! Easy right?  I just printed them on cardstock then laminated them for durability. I thought these might be something I could throw in a birthday card or letter to someone who may be going through a hard time. Either way, feel free to print or share!

Custom Watercolor Portraits

A good friend of mine got married in the Gilbert, Arizona Temple this February and so I decided to put my new-found talent of water coloring to use! I painted this picture of her and her new hubby and framed it as a wedding gift. Keep in mind I am just a beginner so I felt like it was more the sentiment than anything else that would impress her. Turns out there were other people there at the wedding who liked it too!

I ended up doing a family portrait for a family who had lost a son and wanted something that included the whole family.

If you are interested in a wedding or family water color portrait you can contact me at jennyhancock20@yahoo.com.

I can do couple or family water color portraits with or without a temple background!

I Love The Temple!

I love the temple. Whether you are young or old, Mormon or Catholic, living or dead, everyone can receive blessings from the temple. Whether it is walking the holy grounds, attending an open house, or performing sacred ordinances within, the temple is a refuge and a source of peace to all who come with an open heart.

The source of joy and peace that comes from the temple come from a loving Heavenly Father. You see, the temple is His house. His spirit constantly resides there and those who visit His house are blessed with His spirit.

To me, visiting the temple is like going home. When I am weighed down with stress, loneliness, sorrow, or hopelessness I usually long for the refuge of my home or even more so the home of my parents. This applies also to the temple, the House of the Lord. What better place to go to receive comfort, relief, and instruction? Never have I walked away from the temple grounds not feeling more lifted or more hopeful.

“The blessings of the temple are available to us all—young and old and everybody in between. It is in the temple that we remember who we really are and see with clarity who we really can become.”—Sister Jean A. Stevens

Feel free to use any and all temple printouts for personal or church use.
